Peace and Conflict Management is a rapidly growing field of research, an academic discipline, with a growing body of literature and scholarship. Familiarization with foundational theories of conflict, conflict escalation, conflict transformation and peacebuilding from different angles is important in order to analyze complex international, social, organizational, communal and interpersonal conflicts. Multidisciplinary by nature, the field draws from various disciplines – Political Science, International Relations, Psychology (individual, interpersonal, social), Sociology, Law, History, Philosophy, Education, Welfare studies and more. The program is built to support students' growth and appreciation of the mosaic of knowledge from which the field draws in order to help them own the journey of mastering the field.
